Raasay, Scotland. Christmas 2008
Off we go! And Ilse is car sick already!
Loch Lomond.
We stayed overnight at Glencoe. It was a lot darker and rainier than this when we arrived though..
Not much leftover haggis!
Yum yum!
The Inn had 170 Scotch Whiskeys to try. We did our best to try as many as we could.
Almost at Raasay
Chowing down on delicious chowder.
Waiting in the cold wind for the ferry to Raasay Island.
On board the ferry.
Finally arriving at the schoolhouse, yay!
Ilse decorated coconuts for us to play petanque with.
Day 2 At the Schoolhouse
The next morning B gets to work on chopping firewood.
Going for a walk...
Day 3 at the schoolhouse
Going for another walk the other way...
A ruined castle on the edge of the cliff.

Day 4
We ventured off the island of Raasay to the Isle of Skye to visit the Talisker Distillery and do some Christmas shopping.
Portree.
Day 5 - Christmas Day!
Champagne!
Ilse peeling potatoes.
Eating Scottish smoked salmon and homemade bread, yum!
Present time!
The beautifully decorated table.
Goo-par-d-ick-ey (Goose, partridge, duck, chicken and turkey) or "and a partridge in a turrrrkey"
Ready to play petanque.
Pudding time!
