Paris part trois

We spent the weekend with my parents in Paris a couple of weeks ago. It was heaps of fun, and Paris IS lovely in the Summer.

Our room had a Mac with Photobooth on it, ha ha!

Drinking granita by the pond in the Tuileries

We went to the Musée de l’Orangerie in the Tuileries, which Bee has always raved about. It was amazing. Two rooms of giant Monet paintings which seem to move and change colours the more you look at them. And practically empty of tourists (on a weekend in summer!).

Mum trying out some Paris fashions

We had a yummy dinner Mum, Dad and Brendan all had Confit de Canard. Must have been those ducks we were watching in the park...

We visited an old cemetery but it wasn't the one with Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde...

My favourite part was spending the afternoon in Jardin de Luxembourg.
Sitting under the trees, they had a band playing, people were just completely relaxed.

Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon....

Ilse and the Shark

This is the only photo I took on my birthday.

But worth posting I think..

Brighton

Bee and I went for a daytrip to Brighton, our first view of the sea for about 6 months.

It's a very colourful town, on the one hand it has lots of cool boutiques and cafes, then down at the pier its all crappy looking fish and chip shops and old style arcades.

Lots of fun though!

We ate fish and chips, and ice creams and had beers at a pub on the beach.

Heaven.

You don't know what you've got till it's gone....
