We hired a boat to go out on the Alster lake.
Then some drinks on the lake.
Then it was off to the Hamburger Dom. A fun fair to celebrate the arrival of Spring. Yay!

The next morning we were up early to visit the Fischmarkt.
We had a fine buffet breakfast with Matjes (herring)
And smoked salmon
And a live cover band and dancing!
Then a ferry ride!
Chillin', I mean chilly...
A walk around HafenCity. They are building all new buildings and apartments on the harbour which they say when it's completed in 2020 will double Hamburgs population!
All the buildings are very modern.
Then some more time spent around my favourite place in Hamburg, the lake!
Fitting in with the natives, eating icecreams!
Dinner at a tradition German restaurant, bring on the fried potatoes!
