A Day Out in Bremen

I caught the train to Bremen to take a look around...






































The worst river cruise ever. The town centre is lovely and old but Bremen is surrounded by factories. As I found out when I went on this tour. This was the highlight, The Kellogs Factory.

Hamburg so far...

We are here for 7 weeks while B is working with the Hamburg State Opera.



Catching a ferry along the Elbe, these building are in St Pauli and are painted bright colours and many have banners with political slogans.





The "beach" in Hamburg. Apparently when it gets warm people sunbathe and go swimming and they set up bars on the beach.

A pretty suburb called Blankenese, it used to be a fishing village, now it is home to lots of rich people. There are lots of cute staircases and laneways to explore.















We have an apartment for most of our time here. It's in St Georg. It's very comfy.

There are lots of canals around the city which are lovely.



The Alster lake, this is nearby our flat and good for walking around.
